Tonik Dog with human face up for adoption

Tonik, a poodle-Shih Tzu mix-breed dog with human like face, is available for adoption from the Homeward Bound Animal Welfare Group in Mishawka, Indiana, the Christian Science Monitor reports.

According to the CSM, the shelter is looking for an adopter of the 1-year old dog, “preferably without children.”

Petfinder notes that Tonik came from a Kentucky shelter before he was brought to Indiana. The viral photo, which shows the animal’s “humanoid” face, was taken by professional pet photographer Renny Mills.

Most of the time, dogs are euthanized if nobody wants them, but with the ongoing media hype, Tonik will surely find a household who will love and take care of him.
