Janet Jackson married Qatari billionaire

Janet Jackson has confirmed she already married Qatari businessman Wissam Al Mana last year. The announcement came after rumors of their spring wedding plan started to spread in December.

The couple told Entertainment Tonight in a joint statement: “The rumours regarding an extravagant wedding are simply not true. Last year we were married in a quiet, private, and beautiful ceremony.”

Since 2010, Janet has been romantically linked to Wissam, who runs the Qatar-based family empire, Al Mana Group.

“Our wedding gifts to one another were contributions to our respective favourite children’s charities,” the couple continued. “We would appreciate that our privacy is respected and that we are allowed this time for celebration and joy. With love, Wissam and Janet.”

Janet has been married twice before she tied the knot with Wissam, this report tells us. Her first husband was R&B singer James DeBarge and their marriage was annulled in 1985.

In 1991, she reportedly secretly married dancer-songwriter Rene Elizondo Jr. who directed her music videos for “That’s the Way Love Goes,” “Again”, and “Together Again.” They divorced after falling out as marital partners.

She also had a long term relationship with record producer, songwriter and rapper Jermaine Dupri which ended in 2009. They were not married though.
