Bieber apology on SNL for 'smoking weed' real or joke?

Justin Bieber apparently asked for an apology on “Saturday Night Live” for smoking weed. The teen pop star said he was sorry and will “never going to do it again,” a statement that kept everyone asking: Was he serious or just kidding?

Just Jared reports Justin played the president of Miley Cyrus’ fans club. During a conversation, the 18-year-old singer in third person unexpectedly said: “I also heard he got busted for smoking weed and he’s really sorry about it and people make mistakes and he’s never gonna do it again.”

In early January 2013, Bieber landed on the headlines when photos showing him smoking what is believed to be marijuana spread online. The controversial pictures were reportedly snapped at a party inside a room in Newport Beach hotel.

Industry observers say that Justin took advantage of his appearance on SNL last week to tell fans he’s sorry but, given the nature of the late night sitcom, some find it hard to determine if the teen star was telling the truth.
