Porn star teacher Stacie Halas loses appeal to get her job back

Stacie Halas, a former porn star who became a teacher at Haydock Intermediate School in Oxnard but was fired in April 2012 due to her indecent past, lost an appeal to get her job back.

Reports said a three-judge panel rendered a unanimous decision that the 32-year-old science teacher cannot return to her work, concluding that she was unfit for the classroom.

Although Halas was truthful in her testimony and that her pornography career had ended, the permanent nature of the internet will compromise her capacity to serve as an effective and respected educator, the 46-page decision penned by judge Julie Cabos-Owen reportedly stated.

News sources said Halas went on leave following the discovery of her sex video by students in March. She was eventually terminated after an adult website where a movie of her engaging in sexual acts was accessed using smartphones and shown to school administrators.

Lawyer Richard Schwab said Halas did not appear in adult films while teaching, pointing out that his client only became a pornographic star for eight months from 2005 to 2006, during a time when she was financially handicapped after a failed relationship.

Reports said officials from the education department hailed the ruling of the Commission on Professional Competence.
