One Pound Fish video goes viral

One Pound Fish, the song from Korean pop sensation Psy’s Pakistani rival, Muhammad Shahid Nazir, is getting lots of attention on YouTube and is going viral on the web.

Who would have thought that a fish vendor selling mackerel for one British pound at Queens Market in London will rise to fame, but Nazir is a proof that anything is possible.

The viral video “One Pound Fish” has been viewed more than ten million times as of this posting and the song is doing good in the British pop chart.

Reports said Nazir traveled to London as a student and later became a fishmonger after he was able to obtain a working permit. He was not comfortable at shouting to attract customers so he composed a song and sing it while selling his merchandise.

“Come on ladies, come on ladies, one pound fish! Have a, have a look, one pound fish! Very, very good, one pound fish! Very, very cheap, one pound fish!” sings Nazir who is now back in Pakistan.

He said the fish stall in London will always have a special place in his heart.

“I can’t forget England, Queens Market, my fish stall because that place changed my whole life,” Nazir said, according to an Associated Press report.
