Total Solar Eclipse 2012: Watch the event live

A total solar eclipse will be visible in parts of Australia and in the southern Pacific Ocean on November 14, 2012 (Nov. 13 in the US).

The rest of the world can watch it live through webcasts.

Philippines’ state weather bureau PAGASA in an earlier press release stated the total solar eclipse can be observed in Australasia, Polynesia, South Pacific Ocean, parts of Antarctica and South half of South America.

According to Space.com, the path of totality is about 108 miles (174 kilometers) wide and 9,000 miles (14,500 km) long, and covers a three-hour period.

Here’s an embed of the total solar eclipse webcast which will start at 1 p.m. EDT (1800 GMT) or 5 a.m. local time in Queensland:
