Clinton Falls Asleep During Obama’s Speech (Video)

US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton appeared to have fallen asleep while President Barack Obama delivered a speech during his historic visit to Myanmar on Monday.

It was the first time that a sitting US president ever visited the country.

Netizens quickly posted their observation on Twitter when CNN cameras spotted Clinton, who was sitting beside Nobel Peace Prize winner Aung San Suu Kyi, apparently taking a nap on the job.

While critics took a swipe at Obama by saying that his speech was worth a sleep, others had the belief that Clinton was tired or just having a hard time adjusting to a different time zone.

That makes sense.

Myanmar time is eleven and a-half hours ahead of the United States. Obama’s speech took place at the University of Yangon in Rangoon at around 2:30 p.m. which is about 3 a.m. in the US.
