San Beda beats Letran, wins NCAA 88 championship title

For the third time in a row, San Beda College captured the NCAA men’s basketball championship title after defeating Letran at the jampacked Smart-Araneta Coliseum on Friday, October 26.

The Red Lions outclassed the Knights by a wide margin, 67-39, to complete a three-peat and to clinch its 17th cage title in the men’s division.

Anjo Caram finished with 17 points to lead the Red Lions in scoring.

Baser Amer added 14 points. He was named Finals Most Valuable Player (MVP).
