CPA results released! 4,772 passed October 2012 board exam — PRC

The CPA board exam results have been released!

According to the Professional Regulation Commission, 4,772 hopefuls passed the Certified Public Accountant licensure examination given in October 2012 in designated testing centers across the country.

Bren Cruz and Celaica Vibar, both graduates of the University of Santo Tomas (UST), topped the exam with a whopping 94.14% rating. Trishia Julienne Simeon from the University of the Philippines (UP) Diliman ranked second with a 93.71% rating.

Meanwhile, Jerard Megg Cordero from UP Visayas and Wayjorie Depayso from St. Louis University both made it to third place (93.57%).

The October 2012 CPA passers list was released in one (1) working day after the last day of examination.

Registration for the issuance of professional ID and certificate of registration will start on Tuesday, November 6, 2012 but not later than Friday, November 9, 2012, the Commission said.

PRC requires those who will register to bring the following:
  • Duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal;
  • Current Community Tax Certificate (cedula);
  • 2 pieces passport size picture (colored with white background and complete nametag);
  • 2 pieces 1” x 1” picture (colored with white background and complete nametag);
  • 2 sets of metered documentary stamps and 1 short brown envelope with name and profession;
  • Initial Registration Fee of P600 and Annual Registration Fee of P450 for 2012-2015.
The Commission noted that successful examinees should personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.

The date and venue for the oathtaking ceremony of the new certified public accountants will be announced in a later date, the PRC said.
