The Philippine Azkals suffered another loss to Kuwait Al-Azraq, 2-1, in a FIFA friendly at the Kuwait Sports Club Stadium in Kaifan on Tuesday, October 16.
Kuwait, ranked No. 112 in the world, made a goal from close range at the right side of the penalty area at the 35th minute.
The lone goal for the nationals came from Phil Younghusband at the 60th minute, off a penalty shot after a Kuwaiti player touched the ball inside the penalty box.
Kuwait went ahead 2-1 as Al-Azraq successfully landed another penalty shot at 70’.
Neil Etheridge, Ray Jonsson, Rob Gier, Juani Guirado, Dennis Cagara, Chieffy Caligdong, Jerry Lucena, Marwin Angeles, Patrick Reichelt, Denis Wolf and Paul Mulders comprised the starting line-up for the Philippines (No. 147).
