It was Chris Javier who hit the game-winning jumper with 0.4 seconds left in the final period that gave his team victory over the defending champion and the top team in the UAAP Season 75.
There were 12 deadlocks in the entire encounter, a clear proof that UE, which currently ranks 6th, gave Ateneo a good fight.
The last deadlock occured when Ateneo point guard Kiefer Ravena successfully sank a two-pointer to tie the game, 77 all, at 7.2 seconds left.
UE called a timeout to talk-over their play. Afterwhich, Javier delivered the triumphant shot.
