Forget about network wars. The late Comedy King Dolphy has become an instrument to unite the major television stations in the country for a worthy cause.

The “Dolphy Alay Tawa,” a musical tribute to the King of Comedy is set to take place on Wednesday, September 19, 7 p.m. at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.

The family’s spokeman, actor-director Eric Quizon, revealed in an interview that the event will be aired simultaneously on ABS-CBN, GMA-7 and TV5, including the commercial ads, a first in the history of Philippine TV.

Celebrities from the Kapamilya, Kapuso and Kapatid networks will gather and perform in this historic concert to commemorate Dolphy’s colorful life.
