Team USA remains undefeated as they posted a historic victory against Nigeria at the 2012 London Olympics men’s basketball tournament Thursday night, August 2, 2012.
At 156-73, USA vs Nigeria was so far the highest scoring game in Olympics history. It also yielded the biggest margin of victory for a USA team with 83 points.
Carmelo Anthony’s name can now be written in sports history books as having made “the most points by a USA player in the Olympics.”
They also set a USA record by making 29 three-point shots.
Their next opponent, Lithuania, must be worried by now. USA vs Lithuania takes place on August 4 at 2:30 pm.
