Rainfall Warning Signal lowered to 'Yellow' (August 8, 2012)

State weather bureau PAGASA has lowered the Rainfall Warning Signal in Metro Manila (NCR) from code ‘Green’ to ‘Yellow’.

“Moderate to Heavy rainfall (3-10 mm/hr) was recorded over Paranaque, Pasig, Taguig and Quezon City while Light to Moderate rainfall (1-7 mm/hr) over the rest of Metro Manila,” the RWS issued by PAGASA at 9:00 AM on August 8, 2012 stated.

“Light to Moderate (2-7.5 mm/hr) rains is expected over Metro Manila with occasional Heavy (8-15 mm/hr) rains within the next 3 hours,” it said.

Code Yellow means there’s 7.5 - 15 millimeters (heavy) rain and flooding is possible.

PAGASA advised residents in the affected areas to monitor the next warning.
