To address the delay in the release and issuance of identification cards, the Professional Regulation Commission announced Wednesday that it will be printing IDs in regional offices soon.
Once implemented, the project will enable the regions to print IDs in their respective offices instead of sending applications for ID renewal to the central office in Manila for printing.
The project is in line with the commission’s decentralization thrusts and implementation of a new ID renewal system which allows professionals to claim their IDs after seven working days.
PRC ID renewal centers are also expected to open at SM Malls nationwide. The satellite offices will accept renewal applications and release IDs.
