Rainfall Warning Signal: Code 'Yellow' up in Metro Manila (Aug. 14, 6pm)

State weather bureau PAGASA has raised the Rainfall Warning Signal (RWS) in Metro Manila to code Yellow.

The Yellow warning signal was issued by PAGASA at 6pm Tuesday, August 14, 2012.

This means moderate to heavy rainfall is expected over the National Capital Region most likely to continue for the next 3 hours.

PAGASA said flooding is possible in low-lying areas and those located near the river and creek channels.

Residents of the metro are advised to monitor the weather condition and to watch out for the next warning.

Earlier, PAGASA reported that Tropical Storm Helen is enhancing the Southwest Monsoon bringing rains over Luzon and Visayas especially in the western section.

Update: PAGASA has terminated the Yellow warning signal at 12 midnight.
