Minor site improvements - August 18, 2012

In preparation for the release of the Nurses Licensure Examination (NLE) results, we’ve made minor site changes to provide readers a better browsing experience.

We got the hint about the upcoming NLE results release from veteran radio anchor and businessman/review center owner Carl Balita.

On Friday, August 17, 2012, Balita posted a very interesting and relevant status update in his official Facebook page.

He said, “if not for HABAGAT, today would have been the day that the dream and the dreamer has become ONE.”

Balita was obviously blaming the recent flooding caused by monsoon rains that submerged most parts of Metro Manila, including the main office of the Professional Regulation Commission, in water.

Disruption of regular work operation at the PRC, therefore, resulted to the delay of release.

In previous releases, Balita is one of the first and most reliable persons who announced availability of NLE exam results. At one time, he aired the names of NLE passers during his radio program on DZMM a few minutes after the list was released.

Without hesitation, we immediately reassessed this site’s design and decided to make some changes as follows:
  • Removed some javascripts, social networking plugins, and images to allow a faster, smoother loading of posts and pages;
  • We adjusted the font sizes so that texts are viewable even on tablets and mobile devices;
  • Other enhancements to guarantee visitor/reader satisfaction.
Inasmuch as we are optimistic that these minor changes will help you maximize time and resources, we appreciate your giving us feedback, comments and suggestions to make this site even better.

Please feel free to put your thoughts into words in the conversations section below.
