We would like to share to you a great feature that Google has rolled out for Blogger blogs. Permalink modification or URL customization is now allowed in Blogger.
Permalink editing is an important function and one of the most awaited features by users of the Blogger platform.
It allows bloggers to include keywords that are essential in search engine optimization or SEO.
To use this new feature, login to your Blogger account. In the Post Settings, look for Permalink. Click it and mark Custom URL. Enter your desired keywords (relative to the title of your post), review it, and click Done.
Note: Be careful in choosing the keywords. Once the post is published, Permalink editing will be disabled.
In a blog post, Blogger said the characters allowed in a custom URL are limited to a-z, A-Z, and 0-1. The only special characters available are underscore, dash, and period.
Also, bloggers can edit permalinks of previous posts. Just revert your post to Draft and edit the permalink.
