Tropical Depression Ramon October 13, 2011 Update

Bagyong “Ramon” continues to move in a northwest direction, the Philippine Atmospheric and Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) announced on Thursday, October 13, 2011.

As of 5:00 p.m. today, the state weather bureau said TD “Ramon” was spotted at 270 kilometers (km) West of Metro Manila with maximum sustained winds of 55 kilometers per hour (kph) near the center. It is moving Northwest at 19 kph.

Public Storm Warning Signals elsewhere are now lowered, PAGASA said, but fishing boats and other small sea vessels are advised not to venture out into the sea while larger sea vessels are alerted against big waves.
