CPA Board Exam Results Released: 4,066 New Certified Public Accountants

A little more than forty seven percent (47%) or 4,066 out of the total 8,525 hopefuls passed the licensure examination for Certified Public Accountant (CPA) held last October 8, 9, 15 and 16, 2011 in various regional testing centers nationwide, the Professional Regulation Commission announced Monday.

Jerome Austria, a graduate of Ateneo de Naga University, topped the exam with a rating of 94.00%, followed by Carlos Yu, Jr. from the University of the Philippines - Diliman at second place with a 93.43% rating, while Ronnel Mag-Isa, also from UP Diliman came in third with a rating of 93.29%.

PRC said that the registration for the issuance of the passers' Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will start on Monday, October 24, 2011.

The schedule for the oathtaking ceremony will be announced later, the commission added.
