Bagyong Ramon leaves 10 people dead, 6 others injured

State weather bureau PAGASA last Friday said Bagyong “Ramon” has moved farther away from the country. Tropical Depression “Ramon” left ten people dead, six others injured and one person missing, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council reported Saturday morning.

The casualties were identified as Francis Rodeo (9-years-old), Julia Doroy (66), Michael Martinez (15), Mark Martinez (15), Marielle Martinez (7), Lino Ganancial (7), Lyka Elosendo, Bienvenido Cañete (54), Wilfredo Sabroso (30) and Daryll Galles (20). Most of the victims drowned.

NDRRMC said a total of 11,520 families or 56,285 persons in 144 barangays of 26 municipalities and 8 cities in 11 provinces in Regions 4-B, 6, 7, 8, 10, 12 and Caraga were affected.

As of 6:00 a.m., October 15, around 1,608 families or 7,879 persons are served in evacuation centers.
