Ateneo, after all, isn't unbeatable. The Blue Eagles suffered its first loss in the UAAP Season 74 in the hands of the Adamson Soaring Falcons as the latter defeated them 62-46 during their last second round eliminations match on Saturday, September 10 at the jampacked Araneta Coliseum.

ADMU struggled even from the start despite super rookie Kiefer Ravena's efforts to level with the fiery AdU players. They've experienced their first highest deficit in the entire season as the Falcons widened its lead by as much as 19 points in the third quarter.

Ateneo tried to get the momentum away from the opponent starting with a 3-point shot from point guard Emman Monfort down 5 minutes in the fourth quarter. Several turn-overs hurt Adamson but it did not prevent them from maintaining the agressiveness they've shown since the start.

Nuyles showed maturity and led his team, sinking more shots off defensive rebounds and second chance opportunities in the offensive end. He was everywhere, making shots in different corners with an all-around brilliance in the court. Adamson was able to maintain a 13-point advantage less than 3 minutes in the final quarter.

Although Ateneo remains at number two with a twice-to-beat advantage, its 13-game winning streak in the 74th season of the UAAP has been broken by Adamson.
