Last year's Miss Universe Ximena Navarrete of Mexico, relinquished her crown to the 2011 winner Miss Angola Leila Lopes. According to her official biography, Leila Lopes is 25 years old and stands 5’10-1/2.’
Philippines' Shamcey Supsup was declared 3rd runner-up, but she was among the crowd's heaviest favorites along with Ukraine's Olesya Stefanko and Brazil's Priscila Machado who were named 1st and 2nd runners-up, respectively.
The winner of the pageant, owned by Donald Trump's Miss Universe Organization (MUO), receives a New York apartment and living expenses paid for a year as well as a cash prize, designer clothing, shoes and jewelry. Leila Lopes will spend the year promoting charitable causes throughout the world.
