UAAP Season 74 FEU beats AdU in Sunday thriller

We got some updates on UAAP Season 74 second elimination round. In the first game on Sunday, August 21, the National University (NU) Bulldogs defeated the University of the Philippines (UP) Fighting Maroons, 65-43, to advance one notch in the ranking.

Occupying the number 5 position in team standings, the Bulldogs now holds a 4-6 win-loss card.

In the second game, the Far Eastern University (FEU) Tamaraws were able to survive a last period attack by the fiery Adamson University (AdU) Soaring Falcons.

The Tams led by as much as fifteen points early in the second half, but the Alex Nuyles-led Falcons crawled slowly in the final quarter and was able to cut the lead by one point.

The thrill escalated skyhigh when the score hit 61-62 in favor of the Tamaraws at 8.3 seconds left in the fourth quarter. FEU was lucky they had three fouls to give and time was on their side. With 1.3 seconds left, the Tams made sure to defend their chance of winning and held the ball until time ran out.

Aldrech Ramos, who had 18 points, was declared Player of the Game.

FEU is at number 3 in the standings with 6 and 4 win-loss record, while Adamson settles at number 2 with 7 wins and 3 losses.
