The University Athletics Association of the Philippines (UAAP) Season 74, held at the Araneta Coliseum on Sunday, July 10, 2011, kicked-off with its first-two games.
The Far Eastern University (FEU) Tamaraws defeated the De La Salle University (DLSU) Green Archers 74-65 in the first game. RR Garcia came out strong and scored 17 of his 21 points in the 2nd half.
In the second game, reigning champions Ateneo De Manila University (ADMU) Blue Eagles held Adamson University (AdU) Falcons scoreless in the last 6 minutes to win 55-51. The Eagles, according to reports, extended their UAAP winning streak over the Falcons to 29.
ABS-CBN Sports announced that the opening games of the UAAP Season 74 men's basketball tournament: FEU vs DLSU and ADMU vs AdU replay will be available on BALLS SkyCable 34 starting at 8 p.m. Sunday night.
