Marcelito Pomoy, a simple man from Imus, Cavite used his God-given gift well to showcase to the world what Filipino talent truly is and to fulfill his own dream. Who would have thought that a low-profile singer who used to join singing contests in the province will become a millionaire someday?

Marcelito, who comes from a broken family whose members got separated due to poverty, was able to get a dark part of his life work to his advantage. While he joined PGT to pursue his dream, he also used the opportunity to reunite his loved ones.

Marcelito on Sunday became the grand winner of Pilipinas Got Talent Season 2 because of his remarkable world-class performance, his being able to render a high pitched perfect male and female voice combination coupled with a well-thought choice of song, which gave audience some goosebumps.

He's got talent, the "wow" factor, no doubt about it, but it is his life story that completes the package. A life story that deserves to be featured in Maalaala Mo Kaya (MMK), the longest-running drama anthology on Philippine television.

MMK will definitely be able to trace the roots of Marcelito's life in Bislig, Surigao del Sur, to Imus, Cavite where he started his journey to find his loved ones until his quest in Pilipinas Got Talent paved the way for his family to be back in each other's arms once again.

Classic story it is. MMK should come up with an episode about Marcelito Pomoy's life story soon. 'Ika nga, strike while the iron is hot.
