Richard Gutierrez airs side on overspeeding issue

Kapuso actor Richard Gutierrez denied reports that he scolded and cursed the traffic enforcers of the Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) who caught his driver Loreto Figueroa violating the speed limit at Commonwealth Avenue in Quezon City last Tuesday.

In an interview with GMA News, Gutierrez said he got irked when he started to feel that he was allegedly harrassed by the MMDA traffic enforcer.

That conversation made the actor mad, the report said. “As a passenger, they don't have the right to do that. MMDA does not have the right to do that,” Gutierrez reportedly said.

Ronnie Rivera, chief of the MMDA No-Contact Policy, and reportedly the person on the other end of the radio who talked to the traffic enforcer, denied that he gave a directive to call the media.
