Pilipinas Got Talent Season 2: John Michael, Filogram advance to Grand Finals

Here's the latest on Pilipinas Got Talent (PGT) Season 2. Sixteen-year-old singer John Michael Narag from Pangasinan and Filogram, the dance group from Baguio City, were announced as the 7th and 8th grand finalists, respectively, of ABS-CBN's reality-based talent search on Sunday's Results Night.

The PGT Season 2 Week 4 semi-finals round had six performers showcasing their talents but only two were chosen to advance to the grand finale on June 25.

John Michael performed “Open Arms” on Saturday's Performance Night. While both Kris Aquino and Ai-Ai delas Alas liked his performance, PGT judge FMG said he wasn't contented of his number, adding that he should have sang in higher range.

He garnered 31.85% of the total text and online votes to become the “Voter's Choice” while Filogram, who placed second with 27.09% votes, had to compete with third spot occupant Next Generation Band with 22.04% votes. The judges unanimously decided to pick Filogram as their choice.
