Bulacan city mayor Patrick Meneses has reportedly sued his ex-girlfriend, actress-politician Aiko Melendez for tweeting that he is gay, reports over the weekend said. But the latter in an interview with Boy Abunda on The Buzz clarified that her ex-BF is not gay.
Aiko stressed that she never doubted Meneses' gender in the entire 3-year relationship with him. She also denied that the reason of their break-up last February 2011 was a third-party, and that the person was a man as what was rumored.
Some entertainment sites reported late last week that there is a pending resolution in Bulacan's legislative council seeking to declare the actress as ‘persona non-grata’ once she is proven guilty of libel due to her alleged gender-sensitive statement about the local chief executive.
There were even reports much earlier that Aiko's account on social networking site Twitter was hacked paving the way for her purportedly malicious tweets against the mayor.
