Google on Monday announced the finalists for Google Science Fair and the winner of People’s Choice Award. Out of the sixty (60) semi-finalists, the judges selected fifteen (15) young scientists who qualified to the final round.
The Google Science Fair finalists are:
Age 13 - 14
In July, Google said the finalists will come to its headquarters in Mountain View, California to present their projects to the panel of finalist judges, including science luminaries, technology innovators and a Nobel laureate.
Google added that they will compete for prizes that include $100,000 in scholarship funds, real-life experiences at CERN, Google, LEGO and Scientific American, and a trip to the Galapagos Islands courtesy of National Geographic Expeditions.
The winners, Google noted, will be announced at a celebration gala on July 11 at 6:00 p.m. PDT. The event will be streamed live on its YouTube channel, the company announced.
