Dallas Mavericks sweeps series 4-0, crushes Los Angeles Lakers 122-86

The Dallas Mavericks on Sunday, May 8 (Monday, May 9 PHL standard time) completed the sweep 4-0 and crushed the Los Angeles Lakers 122-86 in the 2011 NBA Playoffs Western Conference semi-finals. With the win, the Mavs becomes the first team to advance to the West Finals.

Mavs' Jason Terry made 32 points, including nine 3-pointers. His teammates added 11 more shots beyond the arc.

The former reigning champs were struggling throughout Game 4 with Bynum and other players making poor shots. They wanted to win but the pressure was too heavy.

Reports said Lakers coach Phil Jackson after the heartbreaking loss in the west semis, his first sweep in 21 postseasons and his second-widest margin of defeat, calls it quits. Some sports sites wrote that the Zen Master will be retiring...for good.
