Visita Iglesia website a ‘chapel’ in the internet

The Visita Iglesia website, launched by the Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) to enable OFWs and the physically impaired to join the Holy Week activities through the internet, has become one of the most popular destinations on the web this week.

With Visita Iglesia online, those who cannot attend the actual liturgical celebrations, the traditional Seven Last Words and Pasyon can watch the videos there.

An article from GMA News said the web portal has breached the 40,000-mark as of early Wednesday, April 20. As of 8:00 AM, the site's visitor counter reportedly indicated at least 40,959 hits.

Compared to Monday's count, the report said, twenty thousand more visitors logged into the website, which can be accessed at in your browser.
