GMA 7 has reportedly snagged the rights to air the Koreanovela “Mischievous Kiss” to be locally titled “Playful Kiss.” It is a South Korean drama that is based on the popular Japanese manga “Itazura Na Kiss.” The series is topbilled by Jung So Min and Kim Hyun Joong.
If I remembered it correctly, Kim Hyun Joong was the actor who played the role of Ji-hoo in “Boys Over Flowers,” which rival network ABS-CBN aired in 2009 and re-aired last year.
The Japanese manga “Itazura Na Kiss” is where “Playful Kiss” was based, the Taiwanese version of which, titled “It Started With A Kiss,” was likewise shown on the Kapamilya network.
The Kapuso network has not announced the exact date when the series will start airing.
