Jason Ivler's mom fined for contempt

A Quezon City regional trial court judge earlier this week fined Marlene Aguilar, mother of road rage suspect Jason Ivler, for P20,000 for indirect contempt.

Reports said Judge Bayani Vargas of QC RTC Branch 219 also warned Jason Ivler's mom that she would be put behind bars if she continues to misbehave in court or display discourtesy towards him.

On March 23, Marlene reportedly bestowed Vargas her violent reaction for the latter's refusal to grant their camp's request to have her son excused from attending the proceedings.

Jason Ivler's mother reportedly challenged the presiding official to a fist fight, prompting him to order her out of the court.

Meanwhile, Marlene's lawyer, Priscilla Marie Abante in a media interview said it was anger that drove her client to express “libelous remarks” on TV and made her challenge the judge to a fist fight. Reports said Jason Ivler's mother got mad upon learning that ballistic tests results and the gun used in killing her son's alleged victim went missing.
