Gloria Macapagal Arroyo, ex-pres and now congresswoman, turns 64

Former president and now Pampanga representative Gloria Macapagal Arroyo turns 64 today, April 5, 2011. Maria Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo was born April 5, 1947 and served as the 14th President of the Philippines from 2001 to 2010, as the 12th Vice President of the Philippines from 1998 to 2001.

As the incumbent representative of the 2nd District of Pampanga, GMA reportedly spent her natal day with her constituents with several activities which include dental and medical missions, and project turnover ceremonies.

Meanwhile, militant groups during her birth anniversary greeted Arroyo with street protests. They urged the government to prosecute the ex-president and her allies for alleged corruption during her administration.
