CSC: No more available slots for civil service exam

The Civil Service Commission last week issued a public advisory that no more slots are available for applicants in the National Capital Region.

The CSC in the notice said that its office in the NCR has already reached its quota and is no longer accepting applications for the Career Service Examination - Paper and Pencil Test (CSE-PPT) scheduled on May 22, 2011.

The general rule for civil service tests, the Commission announced earlier, is that acceptance of applications shall be on a ‘first-come, first-served’ basis.

“Applications may no longer be accepted before the deadline if the target number of applicants has already been reached by the CSC Regional/Field Offices,” the Commission said.

CS exams are conducted to establish a register of eligibles from which certification and appointment to the second and first level positions in government shall be made, provided said eligibles meet the qualifications and other requirements of the positions.
