Marian Rivera should stay away from John-Jobert war — Cristy Fermin

Veteran talk show host and columnist Cristy Fermin during the February 27 episode of TV5's “Paparazzi” stated her opinion that Kapuso actress Marian Rivera “should stay out of the trouble between John Lapus and Jobert Sucaldito.” Her statement was based on the fact that “Jobert had not done her any wrong.”

Marian Rivera was dragged into the issue when the actress was apparently quoted in a tabloid as saying, “Go, go, John! Idemanda mo ‘yang Jobert Sucaldito na ‘yan na wala namang credibility!,” a report on Manila Bulletin said.

The word war between the columnist/radio anchor and comedian/TV host started when Jobert reportedly alleged in a February 19 Bandera article that John nearly got mauled in a bar. The incident was said to have been recorded on video.

John refuted the report and reportedly threatened to sue Jobert and Bandera's showbiz editor and publisher.

Meanwhile, Marian's allies in the industry said it was just normal for the actress to support John as her friend.

Cristy and Jobert, who also became partner anchors of a radio talk show, have been friends for sometime now.

In early January, there was a blog post about Marian Rivera allegedly firing back at Cristy Fermin on Facebook against the latter's attack on her.
