Kate Middleton's see-through dress sold at $125k

Whoa! A dress more than $125,000 worth is really expensive; who do you think would buy it unless the owner is a would-be princess?

The Associated Press reports that the see-through knitted mesh slip worn by Kate Middleton at a 2002 fashion show was sold for $125,871 at a London auction.

The buyer, the report said, was an anonymous British male.

According to USMagazine, Middleton agreed to model the piece designed by a student, Charlotte Todd, for a charity auction in 2002.

It was originally intended as a skirt but Middleton wore it as a dress. The cost of the skirt? About $48, the report said; that's $125,823 cheaper.

Amazing indeed!
