Joseph the Artist to represent Philippines in 2011 WCOPA

Joseph the Artist, the Talentadong Pinoy 2011 grand winner who hails from Biñan, Laguna, will represent the country in the prestigious World Championship of Performing Arts (WCOPA) in Hollywood, California, the “entertainment capital of the world,” this July.

Having the honor to represent the country in a one-of-a-kind event that blends the strongest appeal of athletic competitions with the entertainment value from global performers is part of the grand prize catch of this year's Ultimate Talentado.

Joseph the Artist, whose real name is Joseph Erwin Valerio, aside from bagging a representation in WCOPA 2011, won One Million Pesos (P1M), a Chevrolet Cruze car, and a complete four-year college scholarship grant.

The sand artist is expected to join the Variety category in the Senior Division of the 2011 WCOPA.

The event is similar to the Olympics but instead of gymnasts, swimmers, boxers and runners vying for gold medals, it is a competition of singers, dancers, actors, models, instrumentalists, and variety artists such as magicians and jugglers among others.
