The earthquake-damaged Fukushima Dai-ichi nuclear reactors are located along the northern east coast of Honshu, which faces essentially towards the east.

Current graphic images at Accuweather shows typical wind trajectories to pass the Pacific Ocean and Honulolu, Hawaii towards Seattle and Los Angeles.

Reports say Japan's radioactive wind will unlikely hit the Philippines. Its capital city, Manila, is approximately 1,860 miles or 2,994 kilometers away from Japan's capital, Tokyo.
