iPad price drops after iPad 2 launch

Now, you can have Apple's most popular tech toy for a price below twenty thousand pesos, the 16GB version at least. Following Steve Jobs' unveiling of the new iPad 2 last March 2 in San Francisco, the Apple Store in the Philippines a day after dropped the price of the original iPad (reportedly by P4,000).

The price cut apply to both the Wi-Fi only and Wi-Fi + 3G versions.

iPad price cut

The iPad 2 is definitely better in specs and features than the pioneer iPad, but the former will be sold at the same introductory price as that of the latter come March 11 in the U.S., and probably a month or two here.

The question now is: with the surprising cheaper deal, will people buy the iPad 1 when the iPad 2 is coming to town soon?

What do you think?
