Smart Netphone specs, features, price

Smart recently unveiled the Netphone, an Android-powered smartphone. In a press release, the company said the Netphone comes with a suite of applications that provide users one-touch access to the most popular communications and social networking services, as well as relevant customer account services.

The Netphone operates on Android 2.2 (Froyo). It does not only provide simultaneous access to Facebook, Twitter and MyGroups social networks, the device combines Yahoo Messenger, Facebook Chat and other chat services as well.

Web sources say the Netphone will retail between P5,000 to P7,000. The specifications, features and availability are yet to be announced. Once available, relevant information will be added in an update post.

Smart's Netphone was presented during the 2011 GSMA Mobile World Congress. Check out this video showing the Smart Netphone where a Jollibee Delivery Android app was spotted.

Based on the video, the Netphone looks like a rebranded ZTE Blade.

If I'm right, then the Netphone has the following specs: 3.5-inch touchscreen, 3MP camera, 480 x 800 pixels resolution, Wi-Fi, GPS, FM radio, 600 MHz processor, mini USB, HSDPA/HSUPA connectivity, among others.
