Meanwhile, in his message on the occasion of the 46th Anvil Awards “Gabi ng Parangal,” President Benigno Aquino III congratulated the honorees and applauded the PRSP for hosting the annual event.

“The PRSP plays a decisive role in empowering the citizenry by distinctly communicating useful information to the people. The growth of the marketing communications industry has contributed significantly to public awareness, especially as we confront issues in this time of national transformation,” the president said.

Aquino also said he was pleased to know that the Anvil Awards recognizes PR programs that benefited rural districts and marginalized Filipinos.

”This event serves well to emphasize the value of responsible corporate citizenship, as well as to highlight effective communications campaigns being implemented by government and civil society,” the chief executive added.

The president affirmed the role of public relations in influencing people. “I trust that your organization will continue to uphold your mission to generate public confidence through high ethical standards,” Aquino likewise said.
