My prediction on the next version of the iPad, Apple's highly successful tablet computer, most likely will come true. In December last year, I had a forecast that one of the tech gadgets to come out this year is the iPad 2; announcement of which will probably be in February, actual units will be shipped in 3Q.
I will stick to my earlier post that the iPad 2 will have an enhanced Retina 2.0 display and Facetime 2, which is the same as saying that a dual-camera, the front cam intended for video calling, will be integrated. What I am not sure of is the size of the screen although a 7-inch screen is possible.
Digg founder Kevin Rose already blogged that the iPad 2 is “coming soon,” in “3-4 weeks” to be specific. He wrote:
One thing's for sure. The iPad 2 specs, features and price will appear here once these are officially announced by Apple.
We got an UPDATE, check it out on this page.

I have it on good authority that Apple will be announcing the iPad 2 in the next "3-4 weeks", possibly Tuesday February 1st. The iPad 2 will feature a retina display and front/back cameras. Some tech guys, however, don't believe Kevin's statement. But I do, 80% at least.
If you're thinking of buying an iPad, hold off for now.

UPDATE: Spoke w/another source, the display has a "higher dpi", but not technically a retina display. This seems odd to me, we'll have to wait and see.
