November 29 a non-working Holiday

MalacaƱang on Thursday has declared November 29, 2010, Monday, a non-working holiday in observance of Bonifacio Day, according to deputy presidential spokesperson Abigail Valte. This is the first time the holiday economics will be applied by the Aquino administration.

In a conference with the media, Valte said that the regular public holiday actually falls on November 30, the birthday of national hero Andres Bonifacio, founder of the Katipunan, which is a Tuesday, but the government's holiday economics policy pushes for the nearest Monday as the non-working day.

Another long weekend towards the end of the month. Where to on that weekend?
