How to disable 3G/Edge internet on iPhone

This procedure will disable 3G/Edge internet access on your iPhone so you can avoid data charge by accident. This APN changing method is being used as a blocker in case your device would go online without you knowing it. Like for example an email with an attachment is pushed by your iPhone.

You don't want your bill or phone expenses to skyrocket, right? So here goes the steps to disable/block internet access on your iPhone.

For Globe Prepaid:
  • Tap Setting > General > Network > Cellular Data Network and then select APN. The APN is shown as “APN: http.globe.com.ph”
  • Delete the "http". It will appear as: “APN: .globe.com.ph”
  • To enable it again, simply type "http" back to APN and restart your iPhone.
For Globe Postpaid:
  • Tap Setting > General > Network > Cellular Data Network and then select APN. The APN is shown as “APN: internet.globe.com.ph”
  • Delete the "internet". It will appear as: “APN: .globe.com.ph”
  • To enable it again, simply type "internet" back to APN and restart your iPhone.
