Lianah Sta. Ana — Child Stars of Tomorrow Winner

Here's another good reason to be proud for being a Filipino. Lianah Sta. Ana, a Filipino-American kid, won a singing competition in the US - the “Child Stars of Tomorrow” grand championship - held at the Apollo Theater in Harlem, New York earlier this week.

The contest organizers revealed that it's “the very first time a Filipino has ever won the prize at the Apollo’s amateur night in its almost 76 years of existence.” According to sources, the Apollo Theater in New York is known as the place “where stars are born and legends are made.”

Lianah in a media report said she will be donating part of her $2,000 (₱86,000 if ₱1=$43) prize money to her favorite charity in the Philippines.
