Mozilla Raindrop

RaindropWe're currently following the development of a Mozilla project called Raindrop. Currently supporting Firefox, Safari and Chrome (and possibly mobile browsers in the future), Raindrop is a web-based tool that integrates all your online communications from e-mail, Skype, Twitter and Facebook into a single browser window.

Mozilla describes Raindrop as:
Xxx an experiment in messaging on the open Web. Raindrop’s mission: to make it enjoyable to participate in conversations from people you care about, whether the conversations are in email, on Twitter, a friend’s blog or as part of a social networking site."

The Raindrop project was launched in October 2009. Here's an update: Mozilla early last week posted that "Raindrop is rebooting" adding that "the backend is being rewritten for simplicity and speed xxx."

We look forward to using this feature and most probably make it one of our regular blog topics under the Tech News category.
