Firefox 4 Hardware Acceleration

It is possible that the fourth beta of Firefox 4 will be released today according to a source. Along with performance improvements on page rendering that will make web pages load faster, the new build will offer new features such as the new Tab Sets and GPU acceleration.

Formerly known as Tab Candy, Tab Sets allows you to group and quickly switch between tabs. Watch the following video to know more about Tab Candy (Tab Sets).

With Firefox 4 hardware acceleration, you'll be able to take advantage of your video card capabilities to quickly display text and graphics in web pages during the page-rendering process.

To appreciate this feature even more, you will have to tweak the browser. Note: Do not proceed with this procedure if you're not an advanced user.
