Rotating Brownouts in Mindanao

THE ROTATING BROWNOUTS IN MINDANAO now increased from 4 hours to 8 hours daily make us feel like it's like hell living in the island of promise. Business and the economy in general is hurt; government services and education too are affected. People are complaining but our sentiments seem to (or never) land (even) in deaf ears.

Mindanao brownouts
At first, it was only the local power distributors who conduct 4-hour rotating power interruptions on a daily basis. The problem got worse when the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (Transco) started turning off power distribution for at most 4 hours everyday, thus making the annoying outages longer.

What's more disappointing is that power distributors hang up their hotlines during brownouts thereby disabling communication facilities supposedly intended to accomodate inquiries and complaints.

WTF is happening?
